Full-Time; 7:30am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday; non-exempt

Essential Duties

  • Sustain a facilities maintenance schedule, including coordination and scheduling of repairs and maintenance.
  • Coordinate and work with FFST Supervisor, vendors, department supervisors, and managers to ensure highest possible service and timely repair/maintenance completion.
  • Cost effective purchasing and tracking of parts, materials, and supplies for the maintenance and upkeep of Pacific Transfer facilities.
  • Input and track all repair information and purchases of supplies and parts provided by vendors into a computer database.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and safety issues with facilities and determine proper course of action with regards to necessary repairs.
  • Demonstrate hands-on approach to physical repairs and necessary maintenance by completing minor facility repairs (i.e. pothole patching, changing light bulbs, restroom repairs, etc.).
  • Monitor, track, analyze, and report facilities, equipment maintenance, and repair activity costs: purchase of supplies to maintain facilities and equipment, assist with maintaining all facilities in accordance with all regulatory standards, and conduct periodic inspections of all facilities, identify deficiencies, or hazards and address areas of attention accordingly.
  • Assist with maintenance of safety training library, scheduling, and creating personnel safety training and safety meeting content (CDL, DOT, OSHA, Forklift, General Safety, Hazmat, DIP Training, Fire Safety, etc.).
  • Identify and report any facilities or equipment including fleet, deficiencies, or hazards that need attention.
  • Track, analyze, and report employee safety recognition program data at the individual and department level and safety accidents, claims, tickets, and violations.
  • Always think and work safely to prevent work accidents, injuries, and property damage. Comply with all company safety rules, including reporting unsafe acts, conditions, illnesses, and injuries to supervisor or manager and actively participate in identifying ways to make our company a safer place.
  • Serves as the primary back up to the Fleet Coordinator.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years related business experience.
  • College
  • Commercial Driver's License with clean driving record.
  • Working mechanical knowledge of commercial vehicles.
  • Type 40+ wpm.
  • Ability to understand and work in a computer database.
  • Ability to operate a smart phone device and business applications.
  • Excellent attendance and dependability.
  • Work well in a team environment demonstrating effective communication with and in support of co-workers, peers, and management.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of attention to detail, self-motivation, and ability to multi-task to ensure job duties are completed in an efficient, timely, & collaborative manner.
  • Ability to be proactive and identify problems, brainstorm and analyze answers, and implement the best solution.
  • Organization and prioritization: Properly identify and prioritize various tasks while maintaining an organized approach to comleting assigned tasks thoroughly and timely.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Fluency in English (oral and written).
  • Effective oral and written communication.
  • PC skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Wage

Up to $25/hour; depending on experience
