We are looking for a CDL-B Driver who is dependable, motivated, and works well in a fast-paced team environment. Valid State of Hawaii CDL-B and High School Diploma or equivalent is required. CDL driving experience is not required - making this a great opportunity for candidates who are ready to learn and grow their commercial driving career.
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle.
- Deliver and pick up customer shipments as assigned, including driver load/offload of vehicle.
- Communicate with customers and dispatch office regarding shipments and delivery status.
- Secure loads to vehicles and maintain safety of vehicle being operated and shipments being transported by abiding by all State and Federal driving regulations including hazardous materials and DOT requirements – monitoring of hours-of-service regulations.
- Conduct complete and thorough pre-trip safety inspections on vehicles and all shipments and complete all paperwork, including dray tag, vehicle inspection reports, delivery documents, and daily driver logs.
- Assist fellow drivers with deliveries on the road.
- While on the dock, follow instructions from Terminal Supervisor or Senior Lead Checker.
- Load/unload various types of freight from containers to and from Terminal floor by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, palletizing, shrink wrapping, operating a forklift, and completing corresponding paperwork.
- Maintain warehouse and facility cleanliness.
- Wear company-approved uniform, including any required personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean and professional appearance while representing the Company and delivering service to customers.
- Manual labor as assigned.
- Think and work safely at all times to prevent work accidents, injuries, and property damage. Comply with all Company safety rules including reporting unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, illnesses and injuries to supervisor or manager, and actively participate in identifying ways to make our Company a safer place to work.
