We are looking for CDL-A Drivers who are dependable, motivated, and work well in a fast-paced team environment. Valid State of Hawaii CDL-A is required. CDL driving experience is not required, making this a great opportunity for candidates who are ready to learn and grow. Candidates who are hired and complete 90-days of employment are eligible to receive a $1,000 hiring bonus.
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle, usually tractor-trailer unit
- Deliver and pick up customer shipments as assigned
- Communicate with customers and dispatch office regarding shipments
- Hook and unhook containers
- Conduct thorough pre-trip safety inspections on vehicle and all towed units
- Complete all paperwork including dray tag, vehicle inspection reports, customer documents, and DOT required documents
- Maintain safety of vehicle being operated and shipments being hauled
- Abide by all safety rules and regulations, including hazardous materials, State and Federal driving regulations, and DOT requirements (including monitoring Hours of Service regulations)
- Wear company-approved uniform and maintain a clean & professional appearance while representing the Company and delivering service to customers
- Think and work safely at all times to prevent work accidents, injuries, and property damage. Comply with all Company safety rules including wearing required personal protective equipment, reporting unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, illnesses and injuries to supervisor or manager, and actively participate in identifying ways to make our Company a safer place to work
